GETTING YOUR TEST RESULTS
Most results will be back and reviewed by the GP in approximately 7 days. A few results take longer than this.
Test results are given out Monday – Friday AFTER 3PM by telephone (for confidentiality ) Please wait the full 7 days before contacting the Practice.
To maintain patient confidentiality we require your written authorisation (forms available from reception) should you require to have any of your test results disclosed to anyone other than yourself.
If you have undergone tests or x-rays ordered by the practice, you can phone as above for results, if any further action is required the practice will contact you, please ensure you keep your telephone and email address up to date.
If the test was arranged by your hospital consultant
If your test has been carried out by a Clinic or Hospital please call the Clinic or Hospital for the result, as we cannot action tests which have been requested by other Clinicians out with the practice. If the consultant’s secretary or colleague inform you they will send results to your GP, explain that you want the results from the specialist who arranged them who is in by far the best place to give appropriate advice.
